Love?

I believe that you have to be willing to lay down your life for someone before you say that you love that certain person. People will say they love each other casually as they walk past each other, but do they really mean it?

Adolescents often confuse this term with I like you. These two concepts have two entire different meanings. If you like someone you could hang around each other and not disagree. If you love someone you should be willing to die for them. Before you truly love someone, like in a relationship you should get to know each other better. If it is family, then you already kind of love them in a brother and sister sort of way.

Say that you are with your boyfriend or girlfriend and they tell you that they love you. This might just be a comment to get your approval or it might really be serious. If you are my age I caution you to wait to do anything until you are at least 18 because it would be against the law. But if you are 55 and still are not married you need to hurry up. Kidding! Before you are serious about anything make sure that person loves you and that you love them back.

If you are not willing to lay down your life for someone, you don’t truly love them. I am sorry to say, but that off- hand comment isn’t real until you make it real. After being through a lot with someone, you might feel as if you love them. This might be true. Sometimes when people experience a lot together they feel inseparable. This is understandable. Don’t say or do something that  you will regret later.

Protecting Women’s Rights

Change the Constitution or prepare for a revolution! It is not fair for women that they have to be treated differently than men because the equal rights amendment wasn’t signed. I want to try to show people why we must protest to get back those rights. This is an act upon feminism that needs to be promoted. Keep reading and I will show you how women’s rights haven’t yet developed.

There was a National Organization for Women, otherwise known as N.O.W. This organization established the idea of equal rights between men and women. They strived to promote this idea to become a law. To their and my disappointment, there were not enough states that voted for it. Therefore, it was not ratified. Supporters believed it would bring equal treatment, but critics believed that it might deny women the right to be financially supported by their husbands. Altogether, the amendment died in 1982. This was how the idea first started out.

“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any other state on account of gender.” This quote is saying not to under estimate women’s rights. Women today work in law, medicine, science, etc. Technically, women can be given a lower salary than men because the equal rights amendment was not passed. I don’t think this is fair. Why should hard working women with the same job as a man get paid less just because of her gender? That is discrimination and sexually based race. The Constitution is leading to the idea of inequality. Is this how the government wants us to treat each other? In the Constitution, it even says that all men are created equal. By not passing the equal rights law, the Constitution is lying to us. This is one of the outcomes of not passing this idea.

Un-alienable rights are rights that you have when you are born. So naturally, there is the freedom to equality? If you agreed with that last statement for one second if you are a girl, you would be wrong. Women are considered low class compared to men. This is not fair to women. Unless you want protesters to come and declare the Constitution to be lying about the equal rights amendment, then I suggest that you add this idea to the Constitution as an amendment!

Defenders of Liberty

When my grandfather was young and proud, he searved in the navy. It is because of him and many other brave veterans in the world that keeps this country safe. I appreciate the things they do for us and what they go through every day. This is one of the many reasons why I honor veterans.

in World War 1, a proud man of eighteen was patrolling his territory for Austria Hungary invaders and terrorists. As he walked pass a twig scattered pathway, he noticed Austria warriors marching along the way towards him. His emotions completely change as fear embedded itself into him. As quick as he could, he ran like a cheetah to the nearest serbia cover. Suddenly, an Austria warrior spotted him fleeing for his life. Fleet of foot, the Austria  warrior raced towards the Serbia warrior. The eighteen year old never felt the bullet  protrude into his back before he fell limply on the ground dead. This heroic man was a veteran.

On September of the year 1939, a war broke out between Germany, the United  Kingdom, France, and british dominions. A soldier of the U.K. was shooting death shots continually out into a croud of Germans. It was free game out there as bullets were flying left and right as more peoople dropped dead in the battle feild. Reloading as fast as he could, a heroic man witnessed his best friends death as his five foot seven inch body hit the ground hard, adding to the bloody aftermath that would end up the deadliest war in history. He felt his heart break. There was no hope left, but he had to keep going. Out of nowhere, he felt a rage of anger come over him. He stormed into the group of armed Germans, throwing punches at any soldier he laid eyes upon. With four men down he continued his crazy rage, but without warning a browning rifle bullet plunged itself into the back of his head, quieting him forever. this brave, crazy man was a veteran.

In April of 1993, President George H.W. Bushh was almost assassinated. When his son, George Bush became president, he sent over 5,000 soldiers to Iraq to serve. A thirty year old man who was appointed to serve got out of his car, walked into the airport, gave the man his ticket to Iraq, and got onto the plane. As soon as he got off the plane, he signed in with the militia  men and headed  to his campsite. He soon came to a crater in the dirt floor filled with unidetifiable substance. Naturally, he went around it. As soon as he got around it, he was takled to the ground by a group of rival soldiers. After they got hold of him, they shot him dead. this man was a veteran.

I think it is a blessing to have veterans to fight for us. They do so many things everyday to keep us safe and most of the time, we don’t even know it. These were some of the examples of what they go through. when Veterans Day Holiday comes, I  incourage you to think about those brave people who served our country. May God bless them and keep them safe in heaven forever.
